Jackie Boy

Jackie Boy is the alter-ego of Jack Sheets, also known as drum & bass artist Mister Shifter. Despite having releases on some of the biggest international drum & bass labels dating back to 2003, the 20-year veteran DJ & producer always had an uncanny knack for experimenting outside of genre lines. Eventually the Jackie Boy moniker was created to showcase his long-standing love for all things house, techno, and in-between.

Jack’s indiscriminate ear is thanks to a musical upbringing focused around industrial, hip-hop, 80’s pop, and post-punk. From Eric B & Rakim to Ministry, Jack’s open-mindedness is ever apparent in his DJ sets and productions, never sticking to genre tropes, making every appearance exciting and unpredictable.

In the 1990’s, the Ohio native took advantage of being nestled in-between Detroit & Chicago, spending nearly every weekend jumping from various warehouses and clubs throughout the region. Jack also took cues and pulled inspiration from local heroes like Titonton Duvante, Todd Sines, and Charles Noel aka Archetype. With over two decades of DJ experience, Jackie Boy has played alongside some of the best DJ’s in the world, and uses those experiences to drive his creativity and passion.

With an obsessive mind for track selection and adept ability to move any dance floor, Jackie Boy continues to impress with every appearance.
