Squared, Columbus’s premiere electronic music event production and artist management company, announced an official Movement Pre Party in conjunction with Paxahau, producers of Detroit’s internationally renowned music festival. Founded in 2002, Squared has been a continual source of quality electronic music for the Columbus music scene. The Official Movement Pre-Party, slated for Saturday, May 9th at Victory’s Live, continues this tradition and, like most Squared events, is 100% free.

Detroit-based DJ, producer and live artist Joshua Harrison is a member of Beretta Music, a Detroit collective focused on the future sounds of techno. With productions on D Records, Beretta Music and Psycho Thrill, and operating his own label, NONCOM with Keith Kemp and Neovalis, Harrison is known for moody techno that explores the dark soul of Detroit.

Filling out the bill are The Fallen, the duo consisting of FBK and Plural of MDR (Marcell Dettmann Records) and Metroplex fame, and Lower Frequency from Squared’s own roster. “Bringing cutting edge techno on Hi-Fi, reinforced sound systems to Columbus is at the core of Squared’s mission,” said Scott Litch, Founder and President of Squared Entertainment. “When we can bring an Official Movement Pre-Party to the city for free, we’re really firing on all cylinders. This is why we produce techno events.”

The event coincides with Squared’s monthly Body Language dance party, and kicks off at Victory’s Live, located 543 S. High St. in the Brewery District of Columbus, OH, on May 9 at 9pm. Your host for the night is local beatbox phenomenon, B.B.X, the Beatbox Extraordinaire. Squared invites all those in search of a good beat as it continues to deliver the highest quality electronic music found in Columbus.
